An Exciting New Chapter for Our Village Hall
Dear Villagers,
We are delighted to share the exciting news that the restoration and refurbishment of our much-loved Village Hall is now just over a month away from completion!
After many months of planning, fundraising and building work, it is wonderful to see this ambitious project nearing its conclusion. We are enormously grateful to everyone who has supported us along the way, whether through fundraising, volunteering, attending events or simply being interested and offering words of encouragement.
We now need your help once again!
As part of our evaluation for The National Lottery Heritage Fund, we are asking villagers to take a few minutes to complete the community survey which has been delivered to all households. Your views are incredibly important to us. Not only will your responses help us demonstrate the impact of the restoration project, but they will also help shape the future of our Village Hall, ensuring that it continues to be a welcoming, thriving and much-valued part of village life for generations to come. The survey can also be completed by downloading a copy below:
Once completed, we would be very grateful if you could return your paper survey to the grey post box at the wooden driveway gates of The Manor House, 18 Main Street. Electronic copies can be emailed to: goadbymarwoodvillagehall.gmail.com
Ideally, we would love to receive your completed survey by Friday 30th October 2026, so that we have time to bring together everyone’s responses as part of our evaluation for The National Lottery Heritage Fund. If you require any additional paper copies, please contact Gerry on 07903 942477.

We very much hope that you will join us at the Village Hall for a celebratory afternoon tea and the opportunity to see for yourselves what has been achieved.
This will be a wonderful chance to come together, meet our new neighbours, enjoy a cup of tea and celebrate the remarkable transformation of our historic building. All are welcome.
Most importantly, we want you to see what your generosity, enthusiasm, fundraising and support have helped make possible.
Together, we have helped safeguard a very special part of Goadby Marwood's heritage, ensuring that our Village Hall can continue to stand proudly at the heart of our community for another 180 years.
