Purchase of Event Tickets
Terms & Conditions
Introduction & Scope
These Terms and Conditions apply to anyone purchasing tickets for any Event organised by Friends of Goadby Marwood Village Hall (FoGMVH) as listed on our website. By purchasing a ticket, you agree to comply with these terms and conditions. We may amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time, for example to reflect changes to our internal policies.

Purchasing Event Tickets
You can purchase Event tickets online via the Event Page on our website. A contract between you and FoGMVH will only be formed when we send you a booking confirmation by email and receive full payment, unless the Event is advertised as free of charge.
Tickets will be delivered electronically to the email address provided at the time of purchase unless otherwise stated. It is your responsibility to ensure the email address provided is correct and that you can receive emails from FoGMVH. If you have not received your tickets within 24 hours of purchase, please contact us.
If we are unable to accept your ticket request, for example if the Event has been oversubscribed, we will inform you of this by email and we will not charge you for the Event.

Payment
The fee for an Event will be displayed on our website. Fees are liable to change at any time, but changes will not affect bookings in respect of which we have already sent you a booking confirmation, except, for example, in cases where we have made an error in the pricing for that Event.
You can pay for your booking online by credit card, debit card, Google Pay or Apple Pay. Online payment information is never taken by us or transferred to us either through our website or otherwise. If your payment is declined or reversed, your ticket purchase will be cancelled.
All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by FoGMVH adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council. PCI-DSS requirements help to ensure the secure handling of credit/debit card information. When you purchase a ticket to a FoGMVH organised Event, at the point of payment, you are transferred to a secure page of a reputable third-party payment service provider. That page may be tailored to look like a page on our website, but it is not controlled by us.

Cancellation by You
Bookings cancelled more than 7 working days prior to the start of an Event will be refunded in full using the same method of payment.
Bookings cancelled within 7 working days of the start of an Event will not be refunded. All cancellations, by individuals or groups, must be given in writing (by letter or email) to FoGMVH.

Cancellation by FoGMVH
FoGMVH reserves the right to cancel an Event at any time and at its sole discretion. In the case of such cancellation, we will refund the ticket fee in full using the same method of payment. This refund will be the full extent of FoGMVH’s liability to the attendee arising from such cancellation.
In the event of cancellation, FoGMVH will use reasonable endeavours to alert those who have booked to attend an Event, and details of any cancellation will be posted on our website and social media channels. Attendees are responsible for checking this information before the Event.

Changes to Events
FoGMVH reserves the right to make alterations to Event details, content, date and/or venue at any time without prior notice.
Diversity and Equal Opportunities
FoGMVH Events are open to all. We will use reasonable endeavours to comply with applicable laws in relation to discrimination on any grounds. We are committed to providing equality of opportunity and fair treatment for all, and we will not intentionally discriminate on the basis of gender, age, marital status, sexual orientation, ethnic origin, religion, culture or disability. Full details of our Diversity and Equal Opportunities Policy can be found on our website.

Data Protection
FoGMVH may take photographs and films at Events and these may be published on our website, social media channels and marketing materials to promote FoGMVH and the Village Hall. Should you wish your photograph not to be taken, please contact us. Photographs or film of children will not be taken without parental permission.

Events Outside of Our Control
FoGMVH shall not be liable for the delay or cancellation of an Event where this is caused by a force majeure event. A force majeure event is any circumstance outside our reasonable control and includes, but is not limited to:
-
acts of God,
-
epidemic or pandemic,
-
any law or any action taken by a government or public authority,
-
fire, explosion or accident,
